French and Dutch influences permeate this charming decor with soft pink pastels. Romantic Prairie Style crosses the borders. Love the crisp linen and broderie anglaise and the objects of brocante. A style that will never fade out as it encapsulates old world charm and plays with whatever tickles your fancy (from Industrial to Shabby).

First and Foremost I love French! I guess I am the incorrigible person that clings to her roots.
It is fair to say that my vision of French transits via my adopted Aussie eyes and the Anglo saxon influences have slowly emerged over the years. Toile de Jouy is the element I favour in my decor and dabbling furniture with creamy/yellow tints or subtle greys.

Marianne ~ In studio

...where the writing, designing and sewing happens! amongst mood-board, mustard coloured bowl of dried lavender, ginger/cookie scented waxes sitting in vintage glass jars, paper cut buntings from my precious girls, little bits and pieces of the things I love. Bohemian, filtered with love and infused with  inspiration. :-}

Festive season ~ Rustic Flair

It's just the little things you love put together that make a statement. This season to keep with the rustic ambiance of the house I've decided to keep it simple. Of course the Christmas tree is up in grey/silver and both my daughters have added their creative touch; patterned paper heart and star shaped garlands, candy canes and vintage paper baubles. The wreath is at the front door created with Nature's gifts~ mix of pine and gumtree branches and cones; and our vintage teddy dressed in his gorgeous outfit is sitting on the butcher block this year as proud as ever.
Christmas decor, keep it easy and make it personal. Best wishes of peace, hope and love.

"Tete a Tete a la campagne"

Totally ready for the markets tomorrow. Just added this pair of Toile cushions for that perfect 'Tete a Tete' brunch 'a la campagne'.

Hand sewn with love ~ Collection 'La campagne'

Collection "La campagne"
I have been working hard on the new collection for Christmas. On the theme 'La campagne'
it embodies everything I love = rustic style, Toile de Jouy, linen in colours of greige, grey and red, messages of love and hope...

Under 39 degrees of heat it is fair to say it was a labour of sweat...but also of love
I hope that they bring blessings of joy to people who purchase them. They are all individually designed.
Finishing the last touches today with a couple of table runners and a Christmas bunting in Jouy.
I am already thinking of my next project Collection 'La Boheme'
Love to all : ) Marianne
